# The Witcher 3 or Cyberpunk 2077: which is better?

> The Witcher 3 is longer and more widely loved; Cyberpunk 2077, after its 2.0 update and Phantom Liberty, is the sharper, more modern action RPG.

Both are among the best RPGs of their generations, made by CD Projekt Red, so the choice is mostly about taste. **The Witcher 3** is the safer pick for most players: a huge fantasy world, outstanding side quests and two excellent expansions. **Cyberpunk 2077** is better if you want a first-person action RPG with build variety, a dense futuristic city and a tighter main story, especially since the 2.0 update and the Phantom Liberty expansion fixed most of its launch problems.
